Why Real Lab Experience Matters

Across the country, more and more schools are replacing traditional science labs with expensive microchemistry kits, doing the bare minimum to check the “lab” box, or even eliminating labs altogether for convenience. While these approaches may save time, they also shortchange students: Microchemistry kits don’t provide the depth or rigor of full experiments. Minimal “labs” often lack meaningful data collection or analysis. Skipping labs entirely leaves students unprepared for AP, IB, or college-level science courses.

At Squarene, we believe students deserve more. Our Hands-On Chemistry Labs goes beyond the bare minimum by giving students the chance to:

• Conduct classical, full-scale experiments that mimic advanced high school and college labs.

• Learn to properly collect, analyze, and report data using formal lab notebooks.

• Build the lab confidence and skills needed for future academic success.

• Use reusable equipment that allow students to repeat experiments for deeper practice and long-term value.
